Indonesian Pacifist: I began exploring the problems of West Papua during the COVID pandemic by consulting Amnesty International's human rights forum, Tapol.UK, ICNC and other sites. With the extra time I had during the confinement period, I started writing from what I had learned in the West Papua forums. In 2022, I met Markus Haluk, executive director of the United Liberation Movement for West Papua. This led me to launch the bilingual (FR/EN) Markus Haluk Papua blog, about the Papuan struggle against Indonesian colonization. I've always loved writing. I'm committed to using my residence in France, where freedom of expression is recognized, as an asset in the struggle for West Papuan independence. Even though international news is dominated by stories about the Israel-Gaza conflict and Putin's war in Ukraine, I have continued to campaign on my blog, as I am determined to raise the profile of this largely ignored, yet urgent, conflict.
